Growing up very close to London (I try to avoid saying Essex because of the stereotype, but there you go – I’ve said it!) I always found myself popping into galleries on my weekends, which developed my interest in the arts both creatively and academically.
After completing a degree in the History of Art from University of Warwick (as part of which, I was lucky enough to study in Venice for 4 months!), I decided not to go straight into the world of work but explore other countries and their cultures.
I found myself managing a backpackers hostel in Fremantle, a beautiful town near Perth, West Australia for 2 years while I saved for the rest of my travels. I have been fortunate enough to explore places including Malaysia, Indonesia, Borneo, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and my favourite – India!
Having returned to England, I am now living in Eastbourne and am thoroughly excited to be joining the Devonshire Collective team!
If there’s anything you want to discuss with me, or have any ideas about the cafe, please feel free to contact me! I hope to meet you all soon!
