Cafe Culture offers a taste of local food and art in new evening social
Our new Cafe Culture evening events offer servings of local food and drink, plus an opportunity to advance your art practice and knowledge and have some fun at our DC1 Cafe & Gallery.
Each evening provides a two-hour workshop and two-hour social event with a guest speaker. Come to just one or both!
FUNDRAISING WORKSHOP & TALK
Thurs 12 Oct £12/10 workshop, £5 talk DC1 Café & Gallery
Join us for delicious Turkish food tastings from Meze restaurant and come find out how you can get arts funding from your work or project ideas in our first Cafe Culture event.
The evening will start with nibbles, drinks and a two-hour workshop with arts fundraiser and producer Judith Hibberd (6-8pm). We’ll then have an informal evening of more food, drink and special guest speaker, plus opportunities to network and catch up (8-10pm).
Judith Hibberd has over 25 years experience in producing, programming and funding and developing individuals and organisations to maximise their potential.
CERAMIC WORKSHOP & TALK
Thurs 26 Oct £30/25 workshop, £5 talk Workshop at DC2, talk DC1 Cafe
Join us for delicious food tastings from a local restaurant and come join a hands-on ceramic workshops inspired by Ana Rajcevic’s exhibition ANIMAL.
The evening will start with nibbles, drinks and a two-hour workshop with Eastbourne Studio Pottery at DC2 (6-8pm). We’ll then have an informal evening at DC1 of more nibbles, drink and special guest speaker, plus opportunities to network and catch up (8-10pm).
Places are limited so early booking is advised. Workshop price includes materials & firing.
THRESHOLD MADE ARTIST SHOWCASE
Thurs 14 Dec 7-10pm £5 DC1 Café & Gallery
Devonshire Collective will showcase 5 local artists and host a networking event as part of Cafe Culture. Come along to a late opening to see the artwork and hear talks from the selected artists. Ticket includes food tastings & a drink, first come first serve.
