Volunteers wanted to help with cafe and marketing
We are currently looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help out at our new dynamic in-house café and our marketing team.
There is no need for previous café/waiting experience as we can offer all necessary training. All we ask is that volunteers offer enthusiasm, good customer service and a willingness to learn and follow any training / food safety and hygiene protocols. In return, we offer a great environment to volunteer in, surrounded by a vibrant artist community and access to arts opportunities, plus training and lunch.
General tasks would include:
- Taking orders and handling cash
- Preparing food items with a minimal amount of cooking
- General cleaning and dishwashing
The café is open Tues – Sat 11am-5pm and it would be preferable if you could commit to a 3-6 hours shift. Anyone age 16+ is welcome to apply, just let us know why you would love to be a part of the Devonshire Collective and what you think you can bring to the team.
Love Facebook and Instagram? We could use your skills to help strengthen our lively marketing campaigns to promote the work of DC to artists, local community, key stakeholders and the wider public.
You will help with marketing activities such as:
- Promote events on social media channels
- Photograph events
- Update the website
- Help prepare Mailchimp newsletters
You will work alongside our Programme Development Manager and other volunteers. Training and lunch will be provided. A minimum of 3-6 hours per week is ideal and work would be based at DC1 Cafe and Gallery.
