i-Rock Eastbourne at DC1 (a closed one 2 one surgery)
June 13 @ 11:00 am - 6:00 pm
Please note DC1 Gallery & Cafe will be closed to DC Members & the public during these drop in sessions
i-Rock Eastbourne at DC1 Gallery & Café on Monday 3rdJune
Devonshire Collective are very pleased to announce that they have entered into an agreement and a working relationship with Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust who will be bringing their i-Rock Eastbourne surgery to DC1 Gallery & Café.
i-Rock Eastbourne is a ‘one stop shop’ offering timely support to young people aged 14-25 around mental health issues, wellbeing, education, employment and housing.
This will mean changes to our opening times, from Monday 3rdJune DC1 Gallery & Café will be closed to our DC Members and the public every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, 11am to 6pm.
We will be open now on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, 11am – 5pm. Continuing with our late night private viewings and social events. DC1 will be available for events and Gallery hire* after 6pm throughout the week.
Whilst we realise Members may be disappointed about our decrease in opening times, we want to reassure you that our revised hire costs take this into account. We think having shorter and more focused opening times may increase gallery and café exposure as people will need to plan their visit accordingly to make the most of the time spent at DC1 Gallery & Café .
*Please note. The price of a weekly DC1 Gallery venue hire will be the same price for a 2 week hire.
This is a pivotal time for DC, as we develop and enter our next exciting phase, with new developments.
We continue to ask our Members for their support and understanding as we invite i-Rock Eastbourne into DC1 Gallery & Café.
“Teaming up with Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust to host the i-Rock initiative is a fantastic landmark on DC’s journey. It represents our commitment to the local community and our support of mental health initiatives. We are delighted to be working together to provide this essential service to young people.” Mandy Wax, Board Director & DC Members Representative
If you would like further information or a conversation with Harry, Lucinda, Mandy or Lucy please contact us to arrange a time to come into DC1 for a chat.
i-Rock Eastbourne will be open at DC1 Gallery & Café every Monday, Tuesday and Thursdays, 11am-6pm. Inviting young people to drop-in and talk about their experiences in a relaxed environment. i-Rock offers signposting to consider the different help available and where appropriate would support a transition to that service. i-Rock aim to offer an easily accessible and responsive service, providing early intervention and support when it is most needed.
“Sussex Partnership are very excited to be working alongside Devonshire Collective to expand our award winning youth mental health service to Eastbourne. We are looking forward to delivering our service from a fantastic location chosen by local young people for local young people.” Viki Ashby, Sussex Partnership Trust Local Transformation Plan Project Manager
