The broadcaster and journalist Edward Stourton will be appearing in an ‘In Conversation With’ event in aid of local charity Raystede Centre for Animal Welfare this September.
Edward, author of ‘Following a Lead: Diary of a London Dog Walker’ will be interviewed by his daughter Eleanor, a fundraising officer for the charity, on his life and work as a foreign correspondent, television presenter and radio broadcaster with all ticket proceeds going directly to Raystede.
Edward is the owner of two dogs, Kudu, an elderly springer spaniel and Fig, a cocker spaniel and also Ruff, a ginger domestic short hair cat. A founder of Channel 4 News, Edward’s 30 year career has included being Diplomatic editor for ITN, reading the BBC One O’clock News and presenting Radio 4’s Today programme for 10 years. Now the presenter of religious affairs program Sunday, Edward is also the author of six books, most recently Cruel Crossing: Escaping Hitler Across the Pyrenees
The event will be held in the EODS Hall in Eastbourne on the 19th of September. The evening starts at 7:30 pm with drinks and refreshment available. Edwards’s new book ‘Blind Man’s Brexit: How the EU took control over Brexit’ will also be available for sale and signing on the evening.
