Peril At Sea

March 5 @ 7:00 pm - 10:30 pm

Peril at Sea

Treacherous in calm, and terrible in storm,
Who shall put forth upon thee,
Unfathomable Sea?
Percy Bysshe Shelley

The greatest storm in living memory blasts the English coast. Striving against the howling winds and pounding waves, a lonely boat struggles on. Those left behind wait impatiently, huddled together, isolated and unfamiliar.

Tempers will flare and solace will be sought in this evocative journey into our seafaring past and present. One island, one sea, ever changing, never conquered.

Inspired by our coastal location, we have  developed our second production: Peril at Sea.
An evocative journey into our seafaring past and present, Peril at Sea will explore stories, memories, myths and songs of smuggling, shipwrecks and survival.
Performed by three actors, and featuring live acoustic music.
Hugely pertinent to those who live and work by the sea, we are thrilled to be partnering with New Theatre Royal Portsmouth. Supporting our R&D and rehearsals are The Seagull Theatre, Lowestoft and Wells Maltings, Wells-next-the-Sea.

“It worked on so many levels… Up the Road provide good quality and great value”

“A rewarding experience”
