Seaside Film Club – 5 July

A new film club for Devonshire Collective, in partnership with Cross the Screen International Film Festival, this fortnightly evening will create a film scene for the new DC1 Cafe & Gallery on Seaside Road.

Come join us for a night of great cinema and meet like-minded cinema fans in the beautiful surroundings of DC1 Gallery. Expect feature short and experimental films from around the world and from home-grown talent.

Two members of Collectress speak with DC Guest Curator and curator of Light Dial Part III, Laura Mousavi, about collaborative practice and working with Rambert Dance company to develop the Light Dial project. Character comedian Jo Neary (TV’s Ideal, Man Down, Count Arthur Strong) brings her observational brilliance and off-kilter wit to a new show for children - Peg In The Gallery.  It’s about an artist called Peg, who believes that ‘‘being a modern artist has never been such silly fun" and wants to prove that everyone's an artist. Especially you! Here's what happens. Little Bob has a new job in the local seaside art gallery…
