The band started the year planning for The Circus of Sound event which happened at the Birley Centre in Eastbourne on 22nd February. The event was compered by BBC Radio Sussex DJ Danny Pike, and raised funds for Delta 7 in memory of musician Tom Salway (who worked with the band and died in 2017).
Delta 7 performed alongside a variety of other musicians and the event was an emotional and highly enjoyable way to pay tribute to Tom.
In March, the band were thrilled to be invited to travel to Oxford and perform as the opening act at the Oxford Human Rights Festival, the theme of which was Identity.
Back in Sussex, Delta 7 had a fantastic time leading a songwriting workshop at the FestivALL event at Chichester Festival Theatre and then performing alongside StopGAP Dance Company, Theatre Inc and Chichester Youth Theatre at the finale of FestivALL in the Minerva Theatre.
In May, Delta 7 performed to an 80s themed audience at Millie’s Disco in Eastbourne and then returned for the third year in a row to perform at the Core Fest festival which this year was in glorious sunshine.
In between all these events, the band have been writing new songs and before they take a short summer break, they are recording a new album which they will be launching in the Autumn and they have been filming a short documentary film as a follow-up to the award-winning We Rise.
