

To celebrate Carla Wright's The Fuddling Gossips, we invite you to join us for a special day of gathering at our VOLT gallery on the last day of the exhibition.
At 11.30am, Carla Wright will be in conversation with Anne-Marie Watson, talking about key themes within the work. From 1pm we will be hosting a light lunch within the exhibition, join us for nourishing food and conversation.

Anne-Marie Watson is an artist, curator and community organiser specialising in creative arts and wellbeing. Her art includes intricate drawings formed of tiny handwriting and large text posters which describe personal memories, thoughts on interesting ideas and topics or the same word repeated to fill the page. She has shown work in numerous spaces and was artist in residence at Hastings Museum and Art Gallery in 2023.
She works with Women's Voice, a charity which supports and empower local women, trans and non-binary people in Hastings and St Leonards and is part of Hastings Rental Health Housing Cooperative who are creating long term affordable housing for people with no access to the housing market.
