Eastbourne Snapshot 2020 is an art exhibition about Eastbourne created by people with learning disabilities affiliate to Eastbourne Mencap Charity since January 2020.
The project which had to be postponed from last year to the Covid19 pandemic, includes art, craft, pottery, writing, spoken word and multiple visual arts with the aim to create an overview of Eastbourne, the people currently living here and its captivating surroundings. It is an ongoing collation of evidence using arts and craft, photographic and film journaling, interviews, and audio excerpts. This creates a journey through a collective and/or personal diary, made in different forms and material, a collection of individual and communal statements/poems.
An attempt to describe Eastbourne and its inhabitants through the eyes of people with learning disabilities.
The revenue generated with the ticket sales and donations will be used by Eastbourne Mencap to allow its service users to work on new artistic project in 2021 and beyond.
