Led by Devonshire Collective's Associate Artist Imogen Patel, join a safe and supportive space that explores our heritage and identity by creating and compiling imagery that celebrates who we are. We will be creating our very own concertina where we will bring ideas together and understand where our different identities and communities intersect.
What is a concertina?
Concertinas (also known as an accordion sketchbook) are a continuous length of folded paper where artists can bring thoughts and ideas together on a single page. This style of working allows artists to break the confines of a single piece of paper as they can continue to add to their work. Concertinas can also be displayed in studios or in the home or folded away and kept as it’s own personal journal.
This will be a fun and engaging 3 hour workshop open to all adults at any experience level. Free to attend, materials and refreshments will be provided.
