REGENERATE; to bring new and more vigorous life to 

REGENERATE delivers an exciting body of work by emerging and established artists that truly reflects the diverse range and talent of our local thriving artist Blue Monkey Network.  The exhibition includes sculpture, painting, illustration, drawing, ceramics, animation, collage and more, revealing the distinctive art practices of our members.  

This is the first exhibition by the network work and is the result of an Open Call where members were asked to submit works that were primarily made with repurposed paper or card; where the materials originally had a different purpose, such as a box from packaging.  We specifically asked artists not to just use their spare art materials and not to use plastic.  All works have been included in an online exhibition via the network’s website and this exhibition includes a selection of these works, with at least one from each artist, chosen by VOLT curator Polly Wright.

‍Blue Monkey Network was formed in 2011 in partnership with Towner Gallery and offers monthly networking events, talks & professional development opportunities for artists in the area. The network is run by a dedicated team of artist volunteers with the support of many members.  You can find out more about the artist led organisation here.
