Bristol-based artist Harriet Bowman works across sculpture, photography and text, and employs motifs of collision, slippage and rupture. She layers and juxtaposes a range of materials that include ceramic, metal, glass and rubber. Bowman pushes her materials to the edge of their capabilities, often in complex kiln firings, to repurpose and transform them to explore their cyclical, often hidden relationships to each other.
Harriet had a solo exhibition, Maybe they had an urgent call, at Devonshire Collective in 2022.
