Free Pre-school and Parent Art Group

Every Wednesday in term time, 9.30-11am

A weekly art course. We will cover both 2D and 3D work with a variety of painting, drawing, collage and mixed media.

Thursdays 1.30-3pm

The new term will begin 27th February 2025, until 23rd July 2025.

Curated by Richard Matthews, this exhibition at Port Hotel, comprises a series of new collaborative sculptural works by South Coast artists May Hands and Hannah Lees, produced during a residency at Devonshire Collective’s gallery, VOLT, in September 2024.

Devonshire Collective are delighted to present The Fuddling Gossips; the first institutional solo exhibition by artist Carla Wright at our gallery VOLT.

Join us for this special workshop led by artist Miguel Martin inviting you to take your artwork out and about in Eastbourne to photograph it in new locations to find a fresh perspective.

The first workshop will be on 8th March 10-5pm. It is to focus on your ideas for your carnival props, whether for a float or walking entry.

We will help you sketch and plan your props and consider what materials will be required for the build.

‍

The second workshop will be on 10th May 10am – 4:00pm which is where we build your prop!

You will be given advice on materials which will include low cost, sustainable approaches to prop making and the use of recycled materials.

These workshops give you the opportunity to create something truly spectacular for the Carnival parade!
